Sales of condominiums jumped over 7% during the third quarter of this year when compared to the same period last year, according to the latest report from the Naples Area Board of Realtors (NABOR). This report covers all of Collier County, except Marco Island. The most interesting statistics come from where these sales came from and the dollar amount spent.
The Naples Beach area showed a growth of 33% while representing ¼ of the total closings for the period. North Naples had nearly 1/3 of the total sales but also reflected a slight drop for the quarter from the previous year’s number. Also showing a nice gain was East Naples.
Closing prices of these condos was really a mixture. The largest percentage gain was in the $2 million plus range, which more than tripled. There were only 5 closings during the third quarter of last year compared to 17 this year. Comprising 1/8 of the total closings, the $300,000 to $500,000 price category expressed a healthy increase of nearly 31%. The under $300,000 price point grew 7.5%, while the $500,000 to $1million and the $1 million to $2 million price points declined by 23% and 28% respectively…http://ChrisAndDick.comhttp://chrisanddick.com/
